We provide services that support a person to develop, maintain, and improve their community living skills in the areas that are important to them. Our staff will support persons to address their identified skill development needs and strengthen their ability to be independent in the community and decrease their dependence on caregivers. Some of the areas our staff will support a person are:
- Communication skills
- Community living and mobility
- Interpersonal skills
- Reduction/elimination of challenging behavior
- Self-care
- Sensory/motor development involved in acquiring functional skills
- Manage housing, financial, important documentation, and transportation needs
- Learning daily tasks like grocery shopping, making a shopping list, meal preparation, banking transactions, using the library system, using the public bus system
- Organize important appointments, household arrangements, and completing important documents
